Frequently Asked Questions
Have any questions just ask !
Is it worth getting a part time job if I get benefits?
Working part-time while receiving benefits can increase your total income, build valuable skills, and improve your long-term career prospects. Many benefits systems allow you to work a certain number of hours or earn up to a specific limit before your financial support is reduced.
💰 Financial Advantages
- Extra disposable income: Your total take-home pay usually increases because earnings supplement your benefit payments.
- Work incentives: Systems like Universal Credit use a "work allowance" or taper rate, ensuring you are financially better off working.
- Consistent cash flow: Regular wages provide a steady financial cushion between benefit payment cycles.
