Welcome to Paperplane,
Paperplane started with a simple belief:
'Young people deserve the opportunity to develop the practical skills, confidence and independence they need for life beyond school.'
Through my years of working with young people, I have seen how much can sit between what happens in school, what families need and what young people actually need to navigate everyday life.
Paperplane will act as a bridge for some of these gaps and will be able to respond quickly to changes in this fast, evolving world. This website is the beginning rather then a finished product. It will grow over time, shaped by the needs of young people, families, schools and the wider community.
You will find practical resources, including what services are on offer locally, lifeguides and insights designed to make information a little easier to find and use.
Some of what Paperplane delivers will always be free, for example, additional lifeguides and insights. Other opportunities will become available as funding allows, so that we can offer more direct support to young people and their families, these will be advertised on the site.
